FAQs

How Can I contact you?

Where is local pickup?

My studio is located in Hamtramck. There is also the option of picking up in Ferndale. Send me an email to coordinate.

How do I wash my garment?

Fine materials and vintage require a little extra care, but it is worth the extra effort to enjoy their comfort and beauty as long as possible. All of the hand printed images are heat set so the image should not wash out. Because of the delicate material of many of the vintage garments, I recommend hand washing or using a lingerie bag and a gentle wash cycle. I do not recommend putting silk in the dryer. Instead, hang dry and iron to maintain a smooth sheen. Linen can be tumble dried on low. Some of the garments may say “dry clean only” but you can save the environment and save your money by laundering at home.

Do you take commissions for ceramics/illustrations?

Because of the amount of money and effort it takes to build screens and acquire materials for custom ceramic ideas, I am unable to offer commissions at a price that would make them profitable for me and affordable for you. There is also a very slow turn around with producing screens and making new objects in the kiln at my shared studio space. As one woman, I do not have a staff to help expedite new projects and a lot of my products takes months to come in to fruition. However, I love hearing suggestions about products you would like to see in the future.

Where do you make ceramics and who prints your shirts?

At the present time, I do not have a private ceramic studio. I do my ceramic work out of a member based studio in Midtown Detroit called Sugar Hill Clay. All of my clothes are hand printed by me in my basement printshop in Ferndale, MI.

Who are the people in your illustrations?

I draw friends, artists, musicians and basically any images or objects that speak to me. I do not accept commissions and all of the art is hand drawn, scanned, and burned on to a screen.
